The experience
Tikal is the Maya world at full volume: temples four and forty metres apart, Toucans and coatis on the trails, and that famous view from Temple IV — the one that convinced a film director to make it a rebel base in 1977.
From Villa Massis it's a classic day trip: over the border at Benque Viejo, through the Petén to the park, and back in time for dinner on the river. Border formalities, guide and transport are all arranged in-house — you just need your passport and your camera.
