Our neighbourhood river. Drift the Mopan past Bullet Tree Falls with nothing to do but float and watch the banks go by.
The experience
The Mopan is the river of our village — it's why Bullet Tree Falls exists. On a tubing afternoon you'll put in upstream and simply drift: over gentle riffles, under the limbs of giant trees, past kids fishing off the banks and horses drinking at the edge.
It's not an adrenaline sport. It's the opposite — the moving-meditation version of the river, and one of the most honest ways to spend a Cayo afternoon.
